STRACON provides maintenance services to Gold Fields La Cima S.A. (GFLC) (www.goldfields.co.za) at the Cerro Corona Mine. STRACON is responsible for providing maintenance services to maintain client owned mining, construction and ancillary equipment. This equipment is being utilized for the development and operation of mine infrastructure including the Tailings Storage Facility and processing plant. The Cerro Corona Project is an open pit copper-gold mine with a 17,000 tpd flotation concentrator plant and a development cost in excess of US$ 400 million. The mine has an estimated life of 15 years, with reserves of 3.2 million oz of gold and 1,089 million lb of cooper, and is expected to produce at an average rate of approximately 300,000 gold equivalent ounces per year.
