In January 2007, STRACON commeced operations at Oceana Gold's Macraes Gold Mine, located in East Otago.

The contract works were associated with a six (6) metre raise of the Mixed Tailings Embankment, including foundation preparation, embankment construction and associated drainage systems.

The works were completed in September 2007.

During 2003 and 2004 STRACON undertook the construction of silt ponds and an embankment raise at the Oceana Gold's Macraes Mine, located in East Otago, New Zealand.

The works consisted of foundation excavation, installation of drainage systems and the placement of construction fill materials on the embankment wall.
