GyM STRACON J.V. provides contract mining services to Shougang Hierro Peru S.A.A. (www.shp.com.pe) at the Shougang open cut iron ore mine. The mine currently produces approximately 5 million tonnes per annum including blast furnace pellets, direct reduction pellets and high grade pellet feed.

GyM STRACON is responsible for the mining activities associated with the development of two new pits “Minas 16 & 18”, including drilling, loading of ore and waste and haulage of waste to dump areas and ore to the clients processing plant.
